Belgicast participates in the EDAR and high-level sewer project in Amer (Girona) with high-reliability hydraulic infrastructure
Belgicast has participated in the implementation project of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and the high-level sewer in Amer (Girona), a key infrastructure for improving the municipality’s sanitation system and protecting the environment. 23-01-2026
As part of this project, Belgicast supplied a range of solutions for wastewater treatment facilities, including polymer air valves for wastewater, butterfly valves, gate valves, ball check valves, and dismantling joints, all designed to ensure reliability, durability, and optimal performance under demanding operating conditions.
The project represents a significant improvement to Amer’s sanitation system, providing the municipality with a biological treatment plant capable of efficiently treating the wastewater generated in the area. The contract also includes the construction of a high-level sewer network and an associated pumping station, in line with the Catalan administration’s sustainability and environmental protection objectives.
The project, promoted by the Catalan Water Agency (ACA), includes the construction of the new biological treatment plant as well as the infrastructure required to ensure efficient and sustainable management of urban wastewater.
