Belgichefs: a culinary competition to close FY2026
As we brought FY2026 to a close, we wanted to take a moment at Belgicast to celebrate the year we had shared and, above all, enjoy some time together as a team. That is how Belgichefs came to life: a different kind of team experience where we stepped away from our daily routines, put on our aprons and took on a new challenge — a culinary competition among colleagues. 23-09-2026
Four teams, one challenge
The concept was simple, although the challenge was not: four teams competed against each other, with each team tasked with preparing as many dishes from the menu as possible.
Each team was supported throughout the challenge by a professional chef, who shared their experience and guided the participants through the different preparations.
But this was about much more than cooking. Organisation, coordination, creativity and, above all, teamwork were essential to completing the challenge successfully.
From the kitchen to the competition
The four teams got to work, taking on each dish and deciding together how to organise their time and responsibilities.
With the professional chefs providing guidance along the way, the teams worked through the menu, combining their efforts to bring each preparation together.
And, as with any competition, there could only be one winner.
Once the cooking was complete, it was time to sit down and taste the results of the four teams' work.
The dishes were evaluated through the menu prepared for the occasion, and after tasting the different creations, a winning team was selected.
Much more than a competition
Although there was a winner, the real purpose of Belgichefs was to share a different experience and strengthen something that is at the heart of Belgicast: teamwork.
Away from our usual responsibilities, we had the opportunity to work alongside colleagues we may not always interact with on a daily basis, face a new challenge together and, of course, enjoy plenty of laughs along the way.
Just as in our everyday work, achieving a good result requires coordination, communication and everyone bringing their own strengths to the team.
Closing FY2026 together
Belgichefs was the perfect way to bring FY2026 to a close: stepping away from our routine for a few hours, celebrating the work accomplished throughout the year and creating new memories together as a team.
We leave the experience with great moments, plenty of laughs and renewed energy for everything that lies ahead.
