The Umm Al Houl II Desalination Project in Qatar, with a capacity of 284,000 m³/day, is a key milestone in sustainable water supply. Belgicast supported this project with high-performance valves, ensuring efficiency, durability, and precise flow control for optimal plant operation
End Client: Umm Al Houl II Desalination Project
Year: 2024
Project Type: Desalination
The Umm Al Houl II desalination plant in Qatar, with a capacity of 284,000 m³/day, is one of the largest and most advanced desalination facilities in the region. Belgicast played a key role in ensuring optimal plant operations by providing a wide range of high-performance valve solutions.
For this project, Belgicast supplied a total of 1,873 valves, ranging from DN 100 (4") to DN 1800 (72"), with pressure ratings from 150# to 600#. The supply included pneumatic, electric, and manual centric butterfly valves, as well as low and high-pressure check valves, designed for ON/OFF and control operations.
Belgicast’s valves were essential in supporting the plant’s large-scale desalination process, enhancing efficiency, safety, and reliability while helping to minimize maintenance costs in the long run.
Key Benefits:
- Optimized operational efficiency for large-scale desalination.
- Reduced maintenance costs thanks to the durability and reliability of the valves.
- Enhanced control of flow and pressure across the entire system.
